The Great War from the trenches
Battlefield™ 1 is a first-person shooter set during The Great War, where new technology and worldwide conflict changed the face of warfare forever. You can play through an adventure-filled campaign to see the world at war, or jump into team-based multiplayer battles. The fighting spans the whole conflict, from besieged French cities and open spaces in the Italian Alps to vast Arabian deserts. Environments are fully destructible and weather changes constantly, so tearing apart fortifications with gunfire or blasting craters in the earth reshapes the battlefield as you play. No two fights play out the same way.
Fighting as a team of 64
Multiplayer matches support up to 64 players, and you will need your teammates to survive fights this intense and complex. Charge in on foot as infantry, lead a cavalry assault, or take control of vehicles on land, air, and sea. Tanks and biplanes are on offer, plus gigantic Behemoths that turn the tide in a crisis: rain fire from the sky in an Airship, tear through the world in the Armored Train, or bombard the land from the sea in the Dreadnought. Operations mode links a series of battles across multiple maps. Attackers must break the defense line and push onto the next map, while defenders try to stop them, so coordinating with your group matters from one map to the next.
What to know before starting
This Revolution package includes the base game, the Premium Pass with four themed expansion packs (They Shall Not Pass, In the Name of the Tsar, Turning Tides, Apocalypse), plus the Red Baron, Lawrence of Arabia, and Hellfighter packs with themed weapons, vehicles, and emblems. Expect violent and gory combat given the subject matter, and note that the game carries tags for both singleplayer and co-op alongside its PvP multiplayer.
