A Destructible WWI Battlefield
Over The Top: WWI is a first-person and third-person shooter set in the Great War. The core of the game is a fully destructible battlefield: explosions tear through terrain, fortifications collapse, and the front line changes shape minute to minute. Digging, trench reshaping, and building destruction leave permanent marks that alter sightlines, routes, and cover. You fight across multiple maps with different seasons and daytimes, and a full map editor lets you create and share your own battlegrounds.
Playing Together in a Group
This is a team-based multiplayer game with online co-op and online PvP. You pick from three factions - France, Britain, or Germany - each with eight distinct classes. Roles include rifleman, engineer, pyromaniac flamethrower specialist, and officer who calls in airstrikes, each with a clear job plus room to improvise. The arsenal covers rifles, flamethrowers, poison gas, shovels, dynamite, artillery, airplanes, machine guns, vehicles, and experimental tanks. One notable feature is driving a tank with up to 10 other players inside.
Before You Start
Expect chaos: plans rarely survive first contact, and the ground itself gets carved up during a match. Destruction is permanent within a battle, so cover you relied on can vanish. Unlockable equipment and customization open up as you play. The game also includes PvE and singleplayer options alongside the massive multiplayer battles.
