Free the monkey king from the dinos
Banana Drama is a real-time strategy game played from a top-down view on a colorful island. Dinosaurs are causing trouble and holding your monkey king captive, so your job is to gather resources, build up a monkey village, and prepare an army to take them on. The monkey king matters a lot once you get him back: he collects resources much faster than ordinary monkeys and carries far more health points, so freeing him early is a real advantage. Your monkeys include Hugo, Bernadette, Alfred, Herbert, and many more.
Play it solo or with your friends
Singleplayer gives you the island without any time pressure, which makes it a good place to learn the ropes before a busier match. You can also switch on bots to fill out the island fight. Win by freeing the king, and lose if every one of your monkeys goes down. Online multiplayer puts you against real opponents, where the goal is to be the last survivor. Other monkey armies will be out there too, so you are not only fighting the dinosaurs. Online co-op and online PvP are both supported, so a group can team up or face off.
What to know before you start
The game is free and comes from independent developers Dommenuss and Pikachau. It is an action RTS with colony sim and real-time tactics elements, wrapped in a cartoonish, family-friendly style. The main tension is timing: you need to build and gather enough to survive, but waiting too long lets your opponents grow strong. The developers also run a Discord community for the banana crew if you want to find more players.
