A zombie road trip with dark humor
Arizona Sunshine® 2 drops you back into a sun-baked, zombified Arizona as a sharp-tongued survivor narrating his way through an all-new campaign in search of answers. Zombies here are called Freds, and the writing leans hard into dark humor while you cut and shoot through a linear, cinematic journey. Combat is physical: you grab shotguns, machetes and flamethrowers from your body and swing or fire them for real, with a new mutilation and gore system handling what happens when a Fred takes a hit. The environments are built for VR and stretch all the way to the end of the world.
Playing it with friends
The campaign supports 2-player co-op, so one friend can join you for the whole story from start to finish. On top of that there's a Horde mode for up to four players, with extra maps planned across Year 1. Both are PvE, so your group is always fighting the undead together rather than each other. In co-op you're still physically wielding your weapons, which means coordinating who holds the shotgun, who covers the flank, and who keeps the flamethrower for the packed waves.
Buddy, your four-legged backup
You're not alone out there. Buddy, a dog companion, travels with you and helps take down Freds, turning a solo stretch of the campaign into something closer to a partnership. It changes the feel of the game: you're not just clearing rooms, you're watching out for each other.
Before you start
This is a first-person VR shooter with full 6DOF movement, so you need room to move and a stomach for gore and dark comedy. Ammo is scarce by design, so every bullet counts and melee is a real option, not a fallback. Expect a linear campaign rather than open exploration, and know that the Deluxe Edition adds cosmetic extras: an Undead Buddy companion skin, Freddy Flesh Hands for your hands, and a Doggy Weapon Charm for your guns.
