A day at the office, now with zombies

Zombie Admin is a top-down twin stick shooter where you play an administrator trying to get through a work shift during the zombie apocalypse. Your coworkers have turned, and the office still expects things done: scavenge weapons off the floors, deal with the undead staff, and keep up with odd jobs like restocking the toner cartridges over at accounting. The goal is to work your way up the corporate ladder, floor by floor, until you reach the rescue helicopter waiting on the rooftop. The tone is comedic rather than grim — the game leans into corporate satire, with an employee handbook that reminds you your health matters, that coffee keeps you going, and that firearms have been placed on each floor for your convenience since coworkers can be replaced.

Playing it with a friend

You can play solo or with a colleague in local co-op, so two of you share the same screen and shoot through the office together. Controls work with either keyboard and mouse or a gamepad, which makes it easy to split input types between two people on one machine. Remote Play Together is supported, so a friend who does not own the game can join your session over the internet as if you were sitting on the same couch. Local multiplayer and local co-op are listed among the game's tags, and combat is the core of it: guns, punching, and plenty of zombies to clear out of the hallways.

What to know before you clock in

There are eight procedurally generated floors, so the office layout changes between runs rather than playing out the same way each time. Eight different zombie coworkers stand in your way, and five weapons are scattered around for you to find and use. Expect a colorful, cartoony art style with a top-down view rather than realistic horror presentation. The game is tagged as singleplayer first, so the co-op is a two-player local arrangement rather than a large online lobby. Between the shooting, there is a lot of mundane office work to handle, plus coffee to drink and bathrooms on each floor — the game treats the apocalypse as just another stressful day at the desk.
