What WRC 7 is about

WRC 7 FIA World Rally Championship puts you in the official cars and drivers of the 2017 season. You get 13 countries to drive through and 52 Special Stages covering every surface, from tarmac to gravel and snow. The car list includes machines from Hyundai, Toyota, Citroën, and Ford, with 55 official teams on offer, including WRC 2 and WRC Junior entries. The physics are tuned to bring out the power of the 2017 WRC cars, and the tracks have been completely overhauled for a realistic driving feel. The races run longer than before, and 13 Epic Stages push past 15 minutes each, which is a real endurance test for driver and co-driver alike.

Playing together with your group

Local split screen multiplayer lets you and a friend race side by side on the same screen. Online PvP is available when your group wants to compete across the internet, and Remote Play Together lets someone join in from another machine. New online challenges rotate each week, so there is always a fresh reason to get the group back together. An eSports mode is built in for players who want to test themselves against others over a long season.

Before you start

The physics are more demanding than earlier rally games, so expect a learning curve before you are comfortable pushing the cars hard. Epic Stages run over 15 minutes, which is a long commitment if your group has limited time. Pick a shorter Special Stage when you want a quick session and save the Epic Stages for when everyone can settle in. A controller is listed among the supported input options, which suits the driving well.
