What Rush Rally 3 is

Rush Rally 3 is a simulation-style rally game made by one person, Brownmonster Limited. It covers three disciplines: rallies, rallycross and hill climbs, spread across 11 countries and more than 100 stages. Each stage has its own surface, and the game includes snow, gravel, tarmac and dirt, plus day and night driving and weather such as rain and snow. The car handling leans realistic rather than arcade, with a physics model built over 15 years of development, real-time vehicle deformation and damage, and a frame rate of 60 FPS, going higher on supported devices.

Playing it with your group

Rush Rally 3 has real-time cross-platform multiplayer, so friends on different setups can race each other directly. There is also local multiplayer, social leaderboards and ghost racing, which lets you race against any player's ghost at any time rather than needing everyone online at once. Weekly Live Events put you on a rotating selection of tracks against players worldwide, so your group can all run the same event and compare times. Career mode, Single Rally across many countries and Rally Cross give you plenty to run side by side and see who comes out ahead.

Before you start

The car list runs to over 20 vehicles, and everything in it can be upgraded, tuned and customised. The livery editor changes how a car looks, and wheels and upgrades can be fitted to make each one distinct, so expect to spend time in the garage between events. Controller support is fully configurable, including full force feedback wheel support, so it is worth setting up your wheel or pad before a long session. Surface changes between stages matter as much as raw speed, and damage carries through real-time deformation, so clean driving pays off over a full rally rather than a single stage.
