A physics sandbox you can mess around in
Wobbly Life drops you into an open world where almost everything can be grabbed, pushed, thrown or driven. Grandma has kicked you out of the house and wants you to get a job, earn money and eventually afford a place of your own. From there you set your own pace: take on story missions, dig through caves and tropical islands, hunt for the Wobbly Museum's lost artifacts with treasure maps, or just wander and see what breaks. The world is full of props, toys and secrets, and the wobbly physics means even simple tasks turn into slapstick.
Playing together
One to four players can share the same world, either online or on local split-screen. Everyone runs around the same map, so you can split up for jobs and regroup for missions, or pile into vehicles and cause problems together. Missions, jobs and mini-games can be done alone or with friends, and the rewards go toward the same shared goals of cash and unlocks. Arcade mode is there when the group wants something more structured: Trash Zone, Hide & Seek, Wobble Run and Sandbox each come with their own areas, mini-games and customizable settings.
What to earn and unlock
Money buys clothes, vehicles and houses. There are over 500 clothing items, over 90 vehicles to ride and crash, and homes ranging from a wooden cabin to a big mansion. Over 20 jobs each bring their own challenge, from pizza delivery and firefighting to taxi driving and disco dancing. Beyond the island, the Wobbly Space Programme opens up space as another area with its own jobs, missions and secrets, including spaceships you can fly. A pet shop sells companions if you want a follower along for the ride.
Before you start
The game is in Early Access, so content and systems can still change between sessions. It works solo, but the co-op features are the main draw, so line up whether your group is playing online or sharing a screen before you begin. Steam Workshop support lets you build your own content and share it, or browse what other players have made if you would rather just play it.
