What Valgrave: Immortal Plains is
Valgrave: Immortal Plains is a free-to-play battle royale built around combos and spells. You fight in 3D as a third-person character, and each match you decide how to build your loadout: go spell-slinging as a sorcerer, or let your fists do the talking. You have 5 spell slots to fill, and with the spell pool available there are over 100,000 combinations to try. Grab a combo, level it up during play, and use it to outplay the opponents left standing on the fields of Valgrave. The game leans on magic, fighting and strategy rather than guns, so learning how your chosen spells chain together matters more than aim alone.
Playing it with your group
Right now the game runs a solo mode, where you duke it out as a lone wolf. Team mode is listed as coming soon, so a group can't queue together as a squad yet. What your friends can do is compare builds: each of you picks a different set of 5 spells, then trades notes on which combos actually land and which ones fall apart under pressure. With over 100,000 combinations in play, two people can run completely different sorcerers and still be discovering new setups. Since it's free-to-play, everyone in the group can install it and start experimenting without anyone being left out.
Before you start
The developers state a clear set of commitments: balance and new content over time, no selling power, no pay-to-win, and no forcing you through loot boxes to get a cosmetic. Expect the game to shift as it grows, since balance passes and new content are part of the plan. The spell system is the core of the experience, so the first thing to do in your opening matches is test spells in different slots and see how they level up in a fight. Solo mode is what's playable now, so treat your early games as practice for reading opponents and building a combo you can repeat under pressure.
