The Dinosaur Hunter's Return
Turok 2: Seeds of Evil is a first-person shooter that continues the story of the Turok saga. After defeating the Campaigner, Turok throws the Chronocepter into a volcano, but the blast awakens a deadlier force called the Primagen. You are tasked with restoring peace to the land and stopping the Primagen from merging Earth with the nether world. This remaster runs on the Kex Engine 3.4 with full 64-bit compatibility, a new UI system, and a modernized graphics system featuring shadow maps, screen-space reflections, and new decals. The gameplay has been updated with improved character speed, the ability to grapple ledges, improved AI, and a "quick warp" feature that lets you instantly travel to any previously visited portal. You can also save and load anywhere.
Playing Together
The game features a new Multiplayer mode that lets you battle with friends. It uses the best levels, weapons, and visuals from both the PC and Nintendo 64 versions. Network multiplayer is available through Steam, GOG Galaxy, LAN, and direct IP with cross-play capabilities. Split-screen mode is also available in network multiplayer, and the game supports Remote Play Together. Players can choose between a few skins for their character in combat. A new multiplayer game mode called "Last Turok Standing" has been added to the roster.
Arsenal and Enemies
You will fight your way through 35 different types of enemies, ranging from Prehistoric Raptors to evolved Flesh Eaters, culminating in a battle with the Mother of all beasts. The enemies are intelligent; they attack in groups, flee when outgunned, and take cover during a firefight. They also flinch and spasm differently depending on which body part you hit. To deal with them, you have over 20 weapons at your disposal. This includes the Shredder, which fires multiple ricocheting shotgun shells, and the skull-drilling Cerebral Bore. You can also stomp enemies flat while riding an artillery-mounted Triceratops. The campaign consists of 6 Quest Levels, including the Port of Adia, the Death Marshes, and the Lair of the Blind Ones.
