Turning a dead planet into a home
The Planet Crafter drops you on a hostile world with one job: make it habitable for humans. You land with little, gather minerals and resources, craft the tools you need, and build a base to shelter from the environment. From there the work is terraforming — you build machines that raise atmospheric pressure and heat, then generate breathable oxygen. As those three values climb, the planet itself changes around you: first moss and insects, later thick forests and animals. The game has no combat, so the only thing you fight is the environment. Progress runs through building tiers, so each upgrade lets you expand your base and reach further across the map.
Playing with your group
You can play alone or in online co-op with up to 10+ players, which suits a Discord group that wants a shared project rather than a competitive one. Everyone works on the same terraforming effort: splitting up resource runs, laying out machines, and pushing the planet's stats up together. Exploration is shared too — shipwrecks and ruins are scattered across the world, and the wrecks are procedurally generated, so there is always somewhere new to dig for rare loot. Since there are no other players to fight, the co-op side is cooperative by default: you are all on the same side against the planet.
What to know before you start
Survival mechanics are always running: thirst, oxygen, temperature, and health all need managing, so expect to plan for life support while you plan your build. Difficulty is adjustable, ranging from chill to hardcore, and starting presets let you shape a new game differently each time, so your group can pick a relaxed run or a tighter one. There is also a creative mode if you would rather skip the survival pressure and focus on building. Creatures are made by decrypting and mixing DNA extracts, which is how life gets added to the world as terraforming advances. Expect a first-person, open-world experience built around gathering, crafting, automation, and watching a barren landscape slowly turn into something alive.
