Three party games in one pack

The Jackbox Party Starter bundles three games from Jackbox Games, Inc.: Quiplash 3, Trivia Murder Party 2 and Tee K.O. Each one is a different kind of group activity. Quiplash 3 is a writing game where you answer a comedic prompt and the other players and the audience pick the answer they like best. Trivia Murder Party 2 is a trivia game with a serial killer host running a game show inside the Murder Hotel. Tee K.O. puts you on the clock to draw pictures and write slogans, then combines them into t-shirts that battle head to head. All three come with the newer settings and improvements: moderation, subtitles, content filtration and an updated settings menu.

How your group plays together

No extra controllers are needed. Players use their phones or tablets to join and answer, draw or vote. Up to 8 players can take part, with up to 10,000 audience members watching along. If your group is spread out, share your screen on a video call through tools like Zoom, Steam Broadcast, Google Hangout or Discord, and look for the prompts to share audio so everyone hears the game. Remote Play Together is also supported. In Quiplash 3 the audience votes alongside the players, so a bigger crowd changes the outcome rather than just watching. In Tee K.O. the drawings and slogans are dealt out at random, then everyone votes on which t-shirt combinations survive each round and the final gauntlet.

What to expect from each game

Quiplash 3 adds a final round called Thriplash, where prompts ask for three responses instead of one. Its moderation feature lets responses be seen before they hit the screen, and a filtering option blocks profanity and hateful speech before it even reaches moderation, which matters when your group includes newer players. Trivia Murder Party 2 keeps the tension of the original: get a question wrong and you land on the Killing Floor for mini-games that can kill you off. The new mini-games include dodging swords jabbed into a magician's box, tattooing the killer's back and using a rotary phone. There's dark humor throughout, so it suits groups that like that edge. Tee K.O. rewards quick scribbles over careful art, and finished designs can be shared or viewed in past galleries.

Things to know before starting

Voice acting, subtitles and credit songs are localized in French, Italian, German, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. The pack comes from earlier Party Pack releases — Quiplash 3 from Party Pack 7, Tee K.O. from Party Pack 3 and Trivia Murder Party 2 from Party Pack 6 — all updated with the current settings. At the end of Tee K.O. there's a gallery button for the shirts your group made. Expect rounds where voting matters as much as the answer you wrote, since other players and the audience decide who wins each matchup.
