A trivia night built for groups
Party Quiz is a trivia game where one person runs the show and everyone else answers. The game needs at least 3 players: one takes the Host role and the rest are Players. Before a round starts, the Host builds a pack of questions in the built-in Party Quiz Constructor, covering whatever topics they like. If nobody has time to write questions, the Steam Workshop has packs made by the community, and you can filter them by difficulty level and by the topics they include. The game supports many languages, and new community content keeps arriving.
Playing together, on the sofa or apart
Everyone can take a turn as Host and as Player, and there are fun avatars to pick from. If your group is in the same room, you can play together from the sofa. If you can't get together offline, you can play online instead. To stay connected while playing remotely, players join a video call on a platform like Zoom, Steam Broadcast, Google Hangouts, or Discord, then share the screen with Party Quiz running and share audio when prompted. To answer, players only need a web-enabled device such as a smartphone or tablet.
Before you start
Plan who will host, since that person prepares the question pack ahead of time. Decide whether you're writing your own pack in the Party Quiz Constructor or pulling one from the Steam Workshop, and check the difficulty and topic filters so the questions fit your group. Set up the screen-sharing call before the first round so audio and video are ready. Steam Workshop also lets you share your own packs with other players.
