A dream built on perspective
Superliminal is a first-person puzzler where the size of an object depends on where you look at it. Grab a chess piece, hold it up against a distant wall, and it becomes big enough to stand on. The game is set inside Dr. Pierce's Somnasculpt dream therapy program, and the world starts to fall apart as you go deeper. The whole thing is fully voiced, with Dr. Glenn Pierce trying to talk you home while his AI assistant has other plans.
Playing together
Superliminal has Online Co-op and Online PvP modes. In co-op, you and your friends work through the perspective puzzles as a group, with each person seeing the dream from their own angle. PvP puts you against each other instead, turning the optical illusions into a competition. The base game is also a singleplayer experience if you want to run through it alone.
Before you start
The puzzles reward you for looking at things from odd angles rather than solving them the usual way, so expect to move around a lot and test the same object from several spots. Challenge Mode scores you per level on time, grabs, and jumps if you want to replay for a better run. There is also developer commentary spread throughout the game, and Steam Workshop support lets you pull any 3D object into the game for your own perspective tricks.
