A 90s turn-based golf game

Super Video Golf is a turn-based golf game with a 90s look, built around full-sized courses, pitch 'n' putt courses and mini golf. You can play in different weather conditions, day or night. Career mode takes you through 6 leagues and 2 tournaments, while Free Play lets you set up a relaxed solo round or any mix of human and CPU players. There is also a tutorial and a driving range for offline practice, plus online leaderboards for courses and the driving range.

Playing together

Free Play supports couch co-op with up to 8 players using 1-4 compatible controllers or the PC keyboard, or online with up to 8 computers connecting to a single game. Both can be combined, allowing up to 16 players in a single round. CPU players can fill a roster, serve as practice opponents, or compete against each other while you watch. Their skill adapts as your level rises. Free Play modes include Stroke Play, Stableford, Stableford Pro, Match Play, Skins, Multi-target Elimination, Nearest the Pin, Nearest the Pin+ and Clubset Shuffle. Stroke Play and Stableford can also be played as Teams, where human and CPU players pair up to compete with a single ball.

Before you start

Difficulty is variable through club sets: Casual clubs for a quick round, Regular and Pro for more challenge. Clubs can be upgraded at the Equipment Counter. Characters can be customized with designs, hair styles and balls, with more available in the Steam Workshop. Milestones in Career and Free Play unlock the clubhouse, the course remixer for arranging holes into a custom course, and items like clubs, balls, headwear and avatars. Career mode spans 6 seasons across 12 courses, over 36 games, with top-3 finishes unlocking cosmetics. Two knock-out tournaments run as 1v1 rounds with trophies, cosmetics and achievements at stake. Solo play also includes Monthly Challenges and a club league of 24-round seasons against CPU players. The clubhouse holds your personal stats, score history and awards, and a few arcade games are hidden in there as well. Full controller support and Steam Deck play are included, with progress tracked online and offline.
