A VR mini golf world
Walkabout Mini Golf VR drops you onto 14 unique 18-hole courses set in larger-than-life and fantasy locations. Putting feels natural and the physics are extremely realistic, so it works for casual players and hardcore golfers alike. The holes are interconnected, which nudges you to explore the whole course, hunt for lost balls, and try trick shots using whatever is lying around the environment. Over 250 collectible golf balls are hidden across the courses, and there are more in the additional DLC courses.
Playing with your group
You can play solo, take a 1v1 online Quick Match, or open a private room with up to 8 players. Full crossplay means everyone can join the same private room with voice chat no matter which VR platform they are on, though some limits apply to Pocket Edition. Getting a group together is simple: enter the same room name as anyone you want to play with. The same approach works for hosting your own tournament, and there are regular tournaments on the Discord as well.
Before you start
Once you master a course, Hard Mode is waiting. Every hole is modified or sometimes completely redesigned, with harder challenges, a different aesthetic, and a Foxhunt that leads you to a specialized putter. Commemorative putters for each course are unlocked through these Foxhunts. If you own a DLC course, friends can play it with you for free through GUEST PASS. For practice, there is a driving range and a practice green. Locomotion supports both Teleport and Smooth movement, plus the ability to fly. Avatars are customizable with lip sync, and the game supports English, French, Spanish, German, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.
