A flooded world and one raft to share

The world is underwater and your crew's only home is the Super Raft Boat. Runs are roguelike, so each trip through the biomes plays out differently, and the goal is to keep the raft afloat long enough to reach the Final Island. Along the way you pick up trinkets and shape a build, which is where the run's personality comes from: some combinations turn your crew into a wrecking ball, others leave you scrambling. The store text is honest about the odds, so expect a real fight rather than a stroll.

Shooting and building at the same time

This is a top-down twin stick shooter with a building layer on top. Enemies come at the raft from the sea, and while you're shooting them you're also expanding the raft itself, plank by plank, to keep your footing and your defenses growing. Fallen enemies drop wealth, and that money goes straight into upgrades for the crew, so the loop is: fight, collect, build, get stronger, repeat. Weapons and cosmetics unlock as you play, which gives later runs new tools to try. There's also a looping option for crews who want the difficulty pushed further once the standard run stops scaring anyone.

Playing together

You can bring up to three friends along, either online or in local co-op, or go solo if you'd rather not share the raft. The Steam features list Online Co-op and Remote Play Together, so there are options for getting a group into the same boat whether everyone owns the game or is joining through a host. Coordination matters: someone has to watch the raft's edges while another pushes forward for kills and cash, and splitting those jobs badly is how runs end early. It's PvE throughout, so the only thing your crew fights together is the sea and its strangely violent, oddly wealthy creatures.

Before you start

Super Raft Boat Together is the multiplayer sequel to Super Raft Boat Classic by Shattered Journal Games, and it keeps the pixel-art, arcade-flavored feel of the original. Runs are meant to be lost as often as won, so treat a doomed trip as practice for the next one. Pick your trinkets with a plan in mind rather than grabbing whatever is shiny, keep the raft expanding between waves, and don't let the crew drift apart — a scattered group loses the raft faster than any single enemy does.
