Franchise Mode and Team Management
Super Blood Hockey puts you in charge of a team of inmates in a violent, dystopian world of no-rules ice hockey. Between games you set training regimens, control diets, administer black market pharmaceuticals, and decide whether to provide healthcare. You recruit players, customize your lineup, and use skating, positioning, strategy, and violence to win on the ice. The game is 2D pixel art with crunchy retro gore: blood-splattering collisions, head injuries, and other brutal effects. An original chiptune soundtrack by Shawn Daley plays throughout.
Playing Together
Challenge Mode includes scenarios like 12 vs 12 Mega Rumble and Turbo Mode, plus harder challenges such as 4 vs 8 and manual goalie control. Global Showdown is a tournament where you play for your nation, with failure carrying dire consequences for your team. Remote Play Together is supported, so friends can join in over a network connection.
Before You Start
A gamepad is highly recommended for the best experience; the game can also be played with only a keyboard. The game was made in Finland.
