Racing the streets of three US cities
Street Racing Syndicate drops you into illegal street racing across Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Miami. You get both closed-circuit races and open-city events where the whole street is the track, so knowing the side streets matters as much as raw speed. The city races also bring police into play, and you need to shake them when they show up. Damage happens in real time: blow a turn or clip another racer and you pay for the repairs out of your winnings, which keeps every sloppy corner expensive.
Building your car before the run
The garage side of the game is a big part of the loop. There are over 40 licensed cars to modify, including the Nissan Skyline, and aftermarket parts from over 15 real-world manufacturers to bolt on. You can also apply real-world decals and graphic upgrades to make the car look the way you want. Winning races pays out in cash, street cred, or in some cases your opponent's car, so the collection grows as you keep racing. Nitrous is part of the tuning picture too, and the game leans on that acceleration to get you to the line first.
Playing together
Street Racing Syndicate supports singleplayer and multiplayer, and Steam's Remote Play Together lets friends join in from their own machines. That means your group can line up on the same streets, race each other, and settle things behind the wheel rather than just comparing times.
Worth knowing before you start
This is a classic arcade-leaning racer with simulation touches around car damage and repairs, so expect a mix of approachable handling and consequences for driving badly. The game includes sexual content tied to its import-racing theme, including 18 real-life models from that world, plus nudity in its tag list. Keep that in mind if you're picking it for a group with mixed tastes.
