Day and Night in Palm City
Need for Speed™ Heat runs on a split schedule. During the day, Palm City hosts the Speedhunter Showdown, a sanctioned competition where you earn Bank to customize and upgrade your high-performance cars. When the sun sets, the rules change: you enter illicit street races that build your reputation, which unlocks bigger races and better parts. The city's rogue police force patrols the streets at night, and not all of them play fair, so getting caught carries real consequences. The goal is to work your way into street racing's elite while balancing the safe daytime grind against the higher stakes of the night.
Playing Together
The game supports Online Co-op and Online PvP, and it is Crossplay enabled, so friends on different setups can still join the same session. You can team up to take on the city's police and races together, or compete against each other in PvP events. Character customization is part of the experience, letting you build a look that fits your style before heading out.
Before You Start
The Deluxe Edition includes the K.S Edition Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X starter car available at start in your garage, three additional K.S Edition cars unlocked through progression, and four exclusive character outfits that are swappable and fit both male and female avatars. It also bumps REP rewards and BANK rewards by 5%. The game is an arcade-style racer with a third-person perspective and controller support, and it includes a split screen option.
