Night street racing on Osaka's loop

Kanjozoku Game レーサー puts you in 90s Osaka illegal street racing, driving on Japanese autobahns at night. The car list is drawn from true 90s and 2000s JDM machines, and you can drift both RWD and AWD cars. The game runs as an open world with an online population, so you'll run into other racers out on the roads rather than only in set events. Traffic is part of the challenge, and high-speed police chases add pressure when you push too hard.

Tuning the car yourself

Building the car is a big part of it. Engine tuning covers internals, turbochargers, ECU, fuel, intake, exhaust and more, and engine swaps include 2JZ, RB26, VQ35, 4AGE, B16B, 13B, LS3, SR20 and CA18 among others. Body work covers bumpers, hoods, fenders and lights, while suspension tuning covers wheels, rims, tyres, camber, coilovers and spacers. You can also load custom vinyls and liveries onto the car, so your ride can look the way you want it to.

Playing with your group

Your group connects through online play: PvP races against each other, plus online co-op sessions where you drive together. Race formats include Time Attack, Minimum Speed, Do not Crash and Avoid Traffic. There are also online car meets and hotspots for just hanging out with your cars instead of racing.

Rating and things to keep in mind

A rating system tracks how you drive. You gain rating by avoiding traffic at high speeds, completing races, escaping police chases, and playing online or in PvP against someone else. Expect a game that leans on simulation and realistic driving alongside arcade-style action, set in an atmospheric 90s mood. Sessions are online-focused, so other players and traffic are constant factors in how a run plays out.
