What Sprint Vector is
Sprint Vector is a VR racing platformer built around speed and movement. You run, jump, climb, drift, fling, zip and fly across interdimensional race courses and challenge maps, using motion controls with your whole body. The setting is a game show called Sprint Vector Championship Intergalactica, hosted by a robo-personality named Mr. Entertainment, with running commentary and a pulsing electronic soundtrack behind the racing. The courses are varied: you scale pyramids, plunge into alien ruins, leap across giant pits, dodge sludge, and survive trap-filled roads in an ancient city. Survios' Fluid Locomotion System is what lets you reach and hold extreme speeds in VR without it feeling rough.
Playing together
Multiplayer runs online, with public and private modes that put up to eight players against each other in high-speed races. Everyone races the same courses, so the competition is direct: overtaking, shortcuts, and power-ups decide who takes the win. Alongside racing, there are weapons and power-ups to use on both the course and the other sprinters — glove blasts, mines, nitro, impulse jumps and more. One slow mine or boost can flip a race, so paying attention to what others are firing matters as much as your own line. Strong finishes feed into the Global Leaderboards.
Before you start
This is a VR game with motion controls, so expect to be physically active — the movement system asks you to actually swing, jump and steer with your arms and body rather than just steering with a stick. There is plenty to do alone as well: nine challenge courses each with three specific challenges and their own Local and Global Leaderboards, plus customizable solo settings so you can learn a course at your own pace. The base package includes 12 race tracks full of obstacles, shortcuts and power-ups. You pick from eight characters — Daxx, Luna, Hendrix and others — each with multiple skins, so there is some room to look the part before you line up.
