What VRacer Hoverbike is

VRacer Hoverbike is a futuristic arcade racer built for VR, running on any headset that supports OpenXR. You ride a hoverbike through neon cities, alien worlds, desert colonies, highland valleys, and orbital spaceways. The controls are chest-based: you lean your body into turns, which keeps the movement readable and comfortable over longer sessions. The racing itself is arcade-style rather than a strict simulation, so the focus stays on speed, line choice, and quick reactions. On top of the racing you get weapons: missiles, drones, EMPs, and mines, so races turn into fights where a good corner can be undone by a well-timed blast.

Playing together

Multiplayer runs online and cross-platform, with up to 6 players in a race. Between sessions everyone meets in a social lobby where you pick an avatar, so there is a place to regroup before the next event. The multiplayer mode is one of seven available modes, alongside Time Trial, Weekly Challenge, Combat, Survivor, Neon Runner, and Career. Custom tracks made in the track editor can be played in every mode, including multiplayer, which means a group can agree on one of the hundreds of community tracks and race it together. Combat modes suit groups that want chaos; Time Trial and Weekly Challenge suit groups that would rather compare times.

Tracks, tools, and creation

There are 30 tracks across the galaxy, each with its own visual style, hazards, and challenges to learn. The track editor lets you design your own circuits, and the livery editor lets you build custom bikes, suits, and helmets in full VR, so everyone can show up looking different. Photo and replay tools let you pause time mid-race, fly through the replay, and shoot your best moments from any angle — useful for settling arguments about who actually won the last corner.

Before you start

You need a VR headset with OpenXR support. The game is in Early Access, so expect things to change and occasionally be rough around the edges. It also has singleplayer content — Career, Time Trial, Survivor, and the rest — so you can learn the tracks and the lean-based controls alone before joining the group.
