Build a city on your skyshard

SkyShard: City Battler is a fantasy city-building auto-battler where you lay claim to a skyshard and fill it with enchanted buildings and deadly weapons. You need careful resource management and planning to pick the right buildings for your town, plus clever positioning to unlock surprising and potent effects. The building pool runs past 170 unique buildings drawn from several factions, each with its own special abilities. The Ancient faction leans on the endless decay of time to win long, fatiguing battles. Tinkers cook up powerful inventions with ramshackle technology, though those can definitely backfire. Nature focuses on gaining health and staying alive, even against aggressive enemies. Embracing buildings from multiple factions can give you a big advantage through their synergies.

Battle other players at your own pace

Other players attack your town with their own skyshards as your town grows, and you need to survive 16 rounds to win. The multiplayer is asynchronous, so there is no time pressure at all. You can take as long as you like to arrange your city perfectly before the next attack comes. A humbling defeat from a surprise attack is part of the learning process. The game also offers various solo challenges to work through on your own.

What to know before starting

SkyShard: City Battler is in Early Access, so expect changes and updates as development continues. The developers are ItsBen321 and RegisKillbin, two strategy-gaming YouTubers making their first game, and they plan to keep listening to players and working on the game in the open. The isometric, hand-drawn presentation keeps the focus on the tactical layout of your city. Climbing the leaderboard to the rank of Archmage is the mark of a truly wise wizard.
