A fish out of water

Simple Fish Adventure is a short physics-based platformer where you play a fish trying to travel overland. You cannot walk or run like a normal character. Instead, you wriggle and jump, hoping the physics carry you where you need to go. The controls are intentionally awkward, so expect to fight the character a bit as you learn how it moves. The world and the fish are both physics-driven, which means momentum and terrain matter more than precise button presses. The game is short and colorful, with a cute look that contrasts with the difficulty.

Playing together

The game includes online co-op for up to 4 players. Everyone plays as a fish, and you all share the same awkward movement and physics. Coordinating jumps and pushes with other players adds a layer of comedy and chaos, since a single fish is already hard to control. The store text frames co-op as the main way to enjoy the struggle with friends, so the shared suffering is part of the appeal rather than a side mode.

Before you start

Go in expecting a difficult, minimalist platformer with intentionally awkward controls. The game is short, so the challenge comes from mastering the wriggle-based movement rather than from a long campaign. Controller support is included, which helps with the unusual input scheme. The tags list both Casual and Difficult, so the tone is lighthearted even when the physics are punishing. Physics affect both the fish and the world, so surfaces and obstacles will behave in ways you need to read and adapt to.
