A war of industry in 1920s Europa
Scythe: Digital Edition is a turn-based strategy game set in an alternate history where the "Great War" has left Europa scarred and cold. You take command of one of five factions: the Saxony Empire, Crimean Khanate, Rusviet Union, Polania Republic, or Nordic Kingdom. The central goal is to become the richest and most powerful nation by exploring the map, expanding your borders, and controlling the coveted "Factory." The game is played on a hex grid, and your success depends on how well you manage your resources, such as energy, coins, and popularity.
Playing together with your group
This game supports Online PvP, so your group can compete directly against one another to see who can build the strongest nation. There is also a Remote Play Together feature, which allows friends to join in and share the experience. Because every player starts with a different location, different resources, and a secret objective, each match feels distinct. You will need to coordinate your moves carefully, as the game emphasizes tactical decisions over luck.
Strategy over luck
Combat in Scythe is handled entirely by choice, with no dice rolls or random chance involved in the fight itself. The only element of chance comes from the Encounter cards you draw when exploring new lands. You will spend the game building an engine of war: constructing buildings to improve your position, enlisting recruits, and activating mechs to defend your territory or invade others. The order in which you develop your economy and technology shapes the flow of the match, making every decision critical to your final victory.
