A fantasy empire on a changing ocean world
ENDLESS Legend™ 2 is a turn-based 4X strategy game set on an ocean world at the brink of extinction. You start with a single city and grow it into an empire: build districts around your cities' central structures, exploit strategic and luxury resources, develop technology and industry, and raise armies to fight for control of the planet. The world itself shifts over time. Periodic monsoons and cataclysmic tidefalls cause the oceans to recede, exposing new land, new resources, and new anomalies to explore. Existing territory stays intact, but the newly revealed terrain opens fresh routes for you and your rivals, which can change the strategic value of a location entirely. You decide whether to rush into the new land as soon as a tidefall hits or to fortify where you expect landbridges to appear.
Factions that play completely differently
Each faction is built around its own philosophy, history, and capabilities, and your choice shapes every part of the game. Some factions benefit from constant warfare and grow stronger with each victory, others spread influence to build networks of allies among the planet's minor factions, and some run an economy that ignores ordinary needs entirely. Military doctrine also differs: the Kin of Sheredyn build massive fortifications and link them to weapon and support systems in orbit, the spiritualist Aspects spread coral to sustain themselves outside friendly territory, and the Necrophage hive dots the land with nests and burrows to move quickly and ambush from below. Beyond the built-in factions, you can create your own by mixing affinities, traits, units, and populations from across the game.
Heroes, battles, and diplomacy
Heroes lead your armies and grow over time, gaining traits, building relationships that grant boons, and collecting equipment useful in and out of battle. When combat starts, you can auto-resolve it or take direct control of individual units, using terrain for chokepoints, cover, and the high ground. Each faction brings unique units, weapons, attributes, and special battlefield abilities, so a patient commander securing adjacency bonuses plays very differently from one relying on overwhelming numbers. Outside of combat you wield political influence and handle diplomatic affairs, and the Steam features list Online PvP for playing against others.
What to know before starting
The game is turn-based and leans heavily on planning: city districts, adjacency bonuses, resource exploitation, and technology choices all feed into how your empire develops. Expect the map to change under your feet as tidefalls reshape the coastline, and expect opponents who know their faction's strengths. Learning what makes each faction distinct matters both when you lead one and when you face them.
