A 3D platforming adventure through Craftworld
Sackboy: A Big Adventure is a 3D platformer where you guide Sackboy across hand-crafted lands to stop the dastardly Vex. He has kidnapped Sackboy's friends and forced them to build his Topsy Turver device, which threatens to turn Craftworld from a land of dreams into a nightmare. Your goal is to travel across snowy mountains, jungles, underwater realms and space colonies, take down Vex, and save the sack-folk. Along the way you use Sackboy's move-set and gadgets to face a wide variety of platforming challenges, enemies and surprises.
Playing together with your group
You can go through the whole game with a group of two to four adventurers, in both local and online play. Parties work together to overcome tasks, whether through planned tactics or just improvising in the moment. There are also co-op only levels that require a group to complete. Alongside the main journey, the game supports split screen and local co-op, so people on the same machine can join in as well.
What to know before starting
The game runs on PC with support for high frame rates up to 120fps, 4K output, 21:9 ultra-widescreen and NVIDIA Deep Learning Super Sampling on compatible hardware. For controls, you can use a PlayStation 5 DualSense controller over a wired connection to get haptic feedback and dynamic trigger effects, other gamepads, or fully rebind everything to keyboard and mouse. Sackboy also has character customization options, and Steam players can link a PlayStation Network account to unlock an additional costume and emote while the accounts stay connected.
