A classic fantasy board game, digitized
Talisman: Digital Classic Edition is the digital version of the Revised 4th Edition of the classic fantasy board game, originally released by Games Workshop in 1983. It carries the full ruleset and gives you access to all the expansions and content released for the Revised 4th Edition. You pick a character from a roster, each with their own strengths, weaknesses and special abilities, then roll dice to explore a land full of perilous quests, enemies and challenges. The goal is to be the first to reach the centre of the board and claim the Crown of Command, a magical artifact with the power to destroy all rivals and make its bearer the true ruler of the kingdom.
Playing together with your group
You can grab up to 5 friends and play together, either online or locally. Online games can be saved and continued later, so there is no need to worry about time limits. If you would rather face your opponents directly, the game can also be played in hot-seat mode. The game supports Online PvP and Remote Play Together.
What to expect before you start
Your adventure to the Crown of Command will not be easy. You need courage, patience and some good dice rolls to survive the dangers you face. Deadly monsters, tricky traps and magical disasters will try to stop you at every turn. Most spaces on the board require you to draw one or more Adventure Cards, which can reveal an Event, Follower, Enemy, Place, Stranger or Object, including powerful weapons and magical artifacts. These cards are critical to building your inventory and becoming stronger. You level up your character's Strength, Craft, Lives, Fate and Gold by earning Trophies, visiting certain Place Cards or spaces, or through the Objects you find, but you can lose them just as quickly. Each character has a pre-set alignment of Good, Neutral or Evil that affects how you interact with spaces, and alignment can change during the game if you encounter certain cards or spaces. Before you climb the steep steps to the Crown of Command, make sure you are powerful enough, since the Inner Region is fraught with danger and creatures with high Strength and Craft.
