Rockets shooting rockets in space
ROCKETSROCKETSROCKETS is an action-arcade arena combat game where you fly rockets that fire rockets at other rockets. The short description calls it dogfighting meets figure-skating in space, and the movement has that same gliding, flowing feel as you soar around. It plays out as a fast-paced festival of fireworks with cool light trails behind your rocket. Alongside the multiplayer modes there are single-player action modes, and a ZEN MODE where ROCKETS learn to LOVE, which the store text describes as wonderful with a loved-one.
Playing together as a group
This is a local multiplayer game for getting your fellow rocketeers together in the same room. TEAM PLAY pairs every rocket with a partner, and UNDERDOG MODE sets a flock of rockets against a lone rebel with plenty of friendly fire along the way. There is also STANLEY, an AI rocket that thinks he has free will and will relentlessly fire at your rocket. Remote Play Together is supported, so someone can join in remotely. Full keyboard support is included, and the game supports dozens of different controllers, with more being added over time.
Before you start
The settings menu lets you turn on different game modes, tweak weapon behaviour, alter gravity, and adjust sprite sizes, so you can shape a round to suit your group. If you want to go further, you can dig into the data files and edit up a new game mode yourself. The DELUXE PACK includes the full game, the soundtrack, and two exclusive bonus MP3s.
