What Raise the Colours is

Raise the Colours is a satirical physics game about planting as many flags as you can before the clock runs out. You carry a flag, stumble around in 3D, and try to get it flying while everything conspires against you. The whole thing is played for laughs: it's a tongue-in-cheek party game that doesn't take itself seriously, and it describes itself as a meme you play for laughs rather than for meaning. Expect slapstick more than strategy — carrying a flag is deliberately awkward, so you'll trip, collide, and fall flat on your face on the way.

Playing it with your friends

The game is built for four players working together over online co-op. Everyone grabs a flag and races to plant as many as possible before the timer runs out. Cooperation makes the run smoother, but the game openly encourages you to trip each other up instead, so a session can turn into a scramble of stumbling bodies pretty quickly. Whether you actually coordinate or just knock each other over, the goal stays the same: get colours flying while the clock ticks down.

What to know before starting

The local council is out to stop you. Cones, barriers, and council officials will get in your way and do whatever they can to shut the fun down — not allowed. That means the obstacles are part of the joke as much as the challenge, and you should expect interference rather than a clean run. The physics are the core of the experience: things will go wrong, and that's the point. Go in expecting chaos, a bit of friendly sabotage, and a game that values a good laugh over a serious test of skill.
