What Racingmaybe is

Racingmaybe is a turn-based drag-racing game where you build a car through an upgrading system that goes much deeper than it first looks. There are four cars to pick from, each with its own character. Decentra is a turbo powered beast that can end up the fastest or the slowest depending on how well you drive it. Oldsroyal is a heavy old car that always gets a head start thanks to its guaranteed Tireboost. Fabulvania is weak but light and comes with preinstalled NOS. Thoroughbred is a powerful muscle car with weak boost times. Upgrades carry interesting bonuses, and the randomized cost of each upgrade means no two runs hand you the same budget to work around.

Playing it with your group

The game is built for quick matches between friends, meant to work as a warmup before something longer, with a single game taking around 10 minutes. Online co-op and online PvP let you race people directly, and Remote Play Together is supported if you want to share a session. If you have 7 friends, you can all play together. There is also local multiplayer, so people on the same machine can join in. Beyond playing against each other, you can chase the highest score on the global leaderboard.

Before you start

Your strategy is only half the job. Squeezing every last drop of power out of your car only pays off if you can actually control it, so the success of a build depends on your awareness and driving skill as much as on which upgrades you buy. Expect to combine car choice and upgrade bonuses into your own approach rather than following one fixed path, and expect the randomized upgrade costs to force you to adapt mid-run. The goal is simple: get the car to go really, really fast, and find out who breaks the sound barrier first.
