Dinosaurs versus mercenaries

Primal Carnage: Extinction is a team shooter set on a remote island chain where dinosaurs have escaped. One side plays as 12 dinosaur classes, from sneaky Spitters to towering Tyrants, each with its own traits, attacks, and a Roar Ability for a tactical edge. The other side plays as an elite mercenary team with five distinct human classes, each carrying its own special utilities alongside an arsenal of weapons and gadgets. The perspective shifts between first-person and third-person depending on what you pick up.

Playing as a group

Your group splits across the two sides and fights in all-out prehistoric warfare. Matches include working together to reach rescue or stopping the humans from leaving the island, stealing eggs from dinosaur nests while the other team protects the unhatched babies, and stalking humans as an invisible raptor. There is also a co-op mode where the group faces a never-ending onslaught of AI dinosaurs together, either banding together to take one down or getting picked off. Online Co-op and Online PvP are both supported.

Before you start

Pick your side and class early, since each one plays quite differently and the human classes bring their own utilities to the fight. Watch your back either way; the game rewards thinking fast. Cosmetics are unlocked through free drops, Extinction Points (EXP) earned by ranking up, and trading on the Steam Marketplace, covering model mutations for your dinosaurs, weapon skins, and taunts. The game also includes new species, gametypes, weapons, and maps beyond the original Primal Carnage.
