Defending the Oval Office

Presidents Tower Defense is a PvE horde survival and tower defense game where aliens are closing in on the nuclear codes. You take the role of a U.S. President and fight to keep them out of the Oval Office. The invasion is endless, and the enemy roster includes over two dozen unique enemies as well as boss battles. Along the way you kill aliens, collect loot, and upgrade your character stats to keep up with the pressure. The game is played from a third-person perspective and supports controller input.

Playing Together as a Team

The invasion is meant to be stopped by a team of presidents, and the game supports online co-op. Your group picks from a roster of 9 U.S. Presidents, each with their own unique weapons, abilities, and playstyle, so you can split roles across the team. Beyond shooting, you place turrets and traps to shape the defense, which gives the group something to coordinate around between waves. Loot and stat upgrades let each player build out their president over the course of a run.

Before You Start

Expect a mix of shooting and tower defense rather than one or the other: you fight directly, but you also set up defenses and manage upgrades as the waves escalate. Boss fights punctuate the run and ask more of your setup than the regular enemies do. The tone is cartoony with dark humor, and permadeath is part of the package, so a rough wave can cost you. The store text notes singleplayer as a tag alongside the co-op support, so you can go it alone if the rest of the group is offline.
