You can play the game in VR or on a monitor, so you can choose the setup that suits your group. The simulation includes advanced oil behavior, where oil patterns wear down over the course of a game, changing how the ball travels down the lane as you play.
Playing Together
You can bowl with other players in several ways. Play online against opponents from around the world, with voice chat so you can talk and compete as if you were sharing the same lane. For local play, you can pass the headset around. The game also supports Remote Play Together, letting friends join in over a connection.
If your group wants something more structured, you can start a team. A team gives you a private meeting space where you can gather and compete against other teams. Beyond casual play, there are live tournaments, weekly leagues, and ranking oil patterns that change each week, with global player rankings to climb.
Extras and Setup Notes
The game includes a video player that can stream music and videos to the lane display or the big screen inside the bowling alley, so you can set the mood between frames. You can also create your own custom ball in the game.
Before you start, note that oil patterns wear out during a game, so your early throws will not play the same as your later ones. Plan for that shift as you settle into a session.
