A virtual bar full of games

Sports Bar VR puts you and your friends inside a pub you can mess around in. The main attraction is the pool table, with real motion-controlled aiming and physics, plus rule sets for 8 Ball, 9 Ball, 3 Ball and Killer, or free play if you just want to hit balls around. Around the table there's darts, air hockey, ramp ball, chess, checkers, shuffleboard and a pile of extra toys and minigames. The bar itself is full of grabbable props, so you can stack bottles into a tower and knock it down with a pool ball, throw empty bottles at the wall, or build domino runs out of books, chairs and bottles. Nothing you break needs cleaning up.

Playing together

One bar holds a single through 8 players, and cross-play means people on different platforms join the same session. Voice chat is built in, so the table talk and smack talk happens naturally while you wait for your turn. If nobody's around, you can play against the AI instead, online or offline. Between rounds on the pool table you can throw darts, change the music, or just wander the bar.

Progress and customization

You earn tickets from a ticket economy, daily challenges and daily login bonuses, and spend them on pool cues, table skin decals, collectible hats and other objects. Your multiplayer avatar, your cue, your controllers and even the environment around the table can all be dressed up with unlockable goodies.

Before you start

This is a VR game, compatible with HTC Vive and Oculus Rift with Touch, and it's also available for arcades on SpringboardVR. Expect to be standing and using motion controls — leaning on the table is a bad idea, since it isn't really there. It's worth knowing that Sports Bar VR is the upgraded form of Pool Nation VR, and existing owners of that game have been moved over to it.
