What Phantom Squad Is
Phantom Squad is a tactical top-down shooter built for small squads. You see the whole scene from above, plan where your team goes, and then commit. Combat is fast and lethal: bullets hit hard, mistakes get people killed, and there is no second chance once a firefight starts. Missions take place across varied settings, from downtown buildings and jungle compounds to arctic labs. Difficulty comes in three flavors: Rookie for new operatives, Normal for seasoned squads, and Hardcore, which offers no backup and no rules.
Playing Together
The game supports 1-4 players in online co-op, with each squad member taking a role. Communication is central: use voice chat and in-game tools to mark routes, objectives, and entry points before you breach. Plan your approach, cover each angle, and move as one unit. Friendly fire is active, so a careless shot can drop a teammate. Matchmaking is available when you want to fill out a squad with random players instead of waiting on friends.
Before You Start
Bring more than a rifle. Over 20 specialized gadgets are available, including scouting devices, incapacitating equipment, heartbeat sensors, breaching tools, and traps. Learning when to use them matters as much as aim. The game draws inspiration from tactical shooters like Doorkickers, Ready or Not, and Rainbow Six Siege, so expect a focus on planning and coordination over run-and-gun play.
