What Origins Trading Card Game is

Origins TCG is a competitive card battler built around simultaneous turns: both players play at the same time, so there is no waiting for an opponent to finish. A match runs across three lanes, each with its own conditions, and draws from a pool of 100+ rotating locations that change the board from game to game. The result is short matches, around 7 minutes, where you have to read what your rival is doing and adapt rather than follow a fixed plan.

The card pool is built on reimagined legends and iconic characters — Robin Hood, Mulan, Queen of Hearts, Winnie the Pooh — set in an original world where Earth got the names right and everything else wrong. The portals are open, and only the worthy may enter.

Playing together with your group

Origins TCG is online PvP, so your group pairs up and plays matches directly against each other. Because turns resolve simultaneously, a duel is quick and tense: you draw, predict, and commit, then see how your reads paid off. With three dynamic locations reshaping every board, two matches between the same friends rarely play out the same way, which makes it easy to run a series of games in one sitting.

Between matches there is a collecting and trading side. Packs contain limited-edition variants, and duplicates can be traded with other players in the marketplace, including on Steam. Digital graded cards, hand-drawn cosmetic variants, legendary pulls and grail cards are prized for their artistry and rarity rather than their gameplay power.

What to know before starting

Every competitive card is free. All players can earn everything needed to build competitive decks without spending anything, and spending money never unlocks stronger cards or any gameplay advantage. Money goes toward cosmetic variants and collectibles only, so the playing field stays level.

The game is in Early Access, so expect things to still be settling. It is easy to learn and difficult to master — the simultaneous-turn system and rotating locations reward prediction and adaptation over memorized lines, so give yourself a few matches before judging how deep it goes.
