A rhythm game with a silly story
Old School Musical puts you in charge of Tib and Rob, two heroes on a wacky adventure that explains where the bugs in our favorite games come from. You play through 20 nutty levels in story mode, swinging your sword and shooting your spacecraft on the beat of chiptune tracks. The whole thing is a tour of retro games, with 32 different chicken types to fight along the way.
Playing together
The game has a multiplayer mode for up to 4 players, so your group can jump in together. It also supports Remote Play Together, which lets friends join over a connection. Everyone plays to the same chiptune beats, so keeping the rhythm as a group is the core of it.
What to know before starting
The soundtrack is a big part of the package, with 50 chiptune tracks from Dubmood, Zabutom, Hello World, Yponeko, Toriena, mistermv and Le Plancton. The game is tagged as difficult, so expect a challenge as the levels ramp up. It uses pixel graphics in a retro style, and a controller is tagged as part of the experience.
