What No Time to Relax is

No Time to Relax is a life simulation game where up to 4 players compete against each other in the ultimate game of life. You work your way up the corporate ladder, educate your character, gain work experience and play the stock market, all while trying to keep your sanity intact. Working and studying hard will strain even the most iron-willed of your friends, so the schedule stays tight and there is rarely a moment to breathe. Along the way you finish missions, hex your friends and get a pet to gain the upper hand. Your apartment can be decorated with cheap stuff and fancy things, and you pick from 7 different avatars. The game runs in 2D with a colorful, cartoony look and an original soundtrack.

Playing together

The game supports up to 4 players in local PvP, so a group can share one screen. Keyboard, mouse and controllers all work, and pass and play is supported for sharing a setup around the room. Online play lets you face your friends or total strangers. If the group is short a person, single player against a CPU player fills the seat. Turn-based play means everyone takes their actions in order, which keeps the table readable when four people are juggling jobs, study and the market at once.

Before you start

Peaceful mode is available for a less stressful run, with hexes removed entirely, so a group that wants a calmer evening can switch to it. Otherwise hexes are on the table and part of how you pull ahead of the people you are playing against. Missions, achievements and the pet system give you extra ways to build an edge, while apartment decoration is there for anyone who wants to spend time on their own space between turns. Expect a game where managing your time is the core skill: education, work experience and the stock market all want attention at once, and keeping your sanity from turn to turn is what decides who comes out on top.
