Halo-style arena shooting with a voxel twist

Murder Miners is a first-person shooter built around fast, Halo-inspired gunplay. You get a three-shot-kill pistol as your base weapon, plus movement tools that keep fights moving: wall-jumping, unlimited sprint, and multi-directional dashing. Most weapons also have an alt-fire mode. Whether you pick your loadout at spawn or hunt for weapons on the map is a setting, so you can run it as a classic arena shooter where map control matters.

The maps themselves are made of blocks that can be destroyed or built up. Almost every part of the environment is destructible, which changes how fights play out compared to a static arena.

Infection mode is the main group experience

One player starts as a zombie and has to turn everyone else into zombies by reaching them. Humans fight back with guns and can use the Minergun to build forts for cover. Zombies dig through walls, use a tentacle grab to climb to high ground or yank players toward them, and eat fallen player corpses to level up their zombie abilities.

This mode supports up to 30 players, and the weekly JForce playdates usually fill a full lobby. Being the last human alive while a swarm of player-controlled zombies hunts you is the core tension of the mode. The game also supports online co-op, online PvP, and Remote Play Together.

Building maps with other players

The Minergun doubles as a level editor, so you can shape maps during online co-op sessions. The community has remade many well-known maps, and you can share your own creations through Steam Workshop. Before you start, know that the game leans competitive and chaotic rather than structured, and the destructible terrain means no cover lasts forever unless you rebuild it.
