A Block World Full of Monsters
CastleMiner Z is an online co-op survival horror game set in a block-based environment. The world is infinite and filled with deep places to explore. You gather raw materials, craft weapons and tools, and build structures out of blocks while fighting off zombies, dragons, skeletons, and other enemies. The game is played from a first-person perspective, and the world is randomized in some modes, so every run offers a different landscape to cross.
Playing Together Online
You can play by yourself or join friends online. The game supports both co-op and PvP, so you can team up against the horde or fight each other. Since worlds can be saved in any mode except Endurance, one player can build a castle with enemies turned off, then load that world with friends and turn the enemies back on for a tougher session. The group can split up to gather resources and craft gear, or stick together to push through dangerous territory.
Four Ways to Play
Endurance Mode drops your party into a randomized world where death is permanent. You run, fight, and sneak across deserts, snowy mountains, and icy expanses, trying to reach the guardians of the abyss before the zombies, dragons, or skeletons take you down. Survival Mode keeps the combat but lets you build permanent structures and defenses. Creative Mode simplifies crafting and lets you adjust or remove the enemy threat, which makes it a calm place to build large structures. Dragon Survival Mode throws wave after wave of dragons at you for players who want a constant fight.
Before You Start
Worlds save in every mode except Endurance, so plan around that if your group wants a persistent base. Creative Mode is the right pick for a building session without combat pressure, while Endurance is the mode for a tense run where the whole party shares one life. The game supports resolutions up to 8k, a resizable game window, and adjustable mouse sensitivity.
