A four-day expedition with a boss at the end

Mad Adventures is a 3D party platformer where your group runs an expedition that lasts four in-game days. You move fast, jump across gaps, and clear challenges that are meant to keep you from breezing through. Survive all four days and the party reaches the final boss, a big fight where you use your attacks and healing to bring it down while dodging hazards like fire. Beat the boss and the reward is a Battle Royale where everyone fights over the golden crown.

Working together, or not

Coins are the shared currency of the run. You collect them out on expeditions, then spend them in the lobby. Upgrades bought in the lobby apply to everyone there, so a double jump or a triple jump helps the whole group. The jump upgrades go further than that if you keep investing. If you would rather spend on yourself, you can buy a personal perk like a blue skin or a strange hat instead, which helps nobody else. That is the core tension: fund the party or fund your own look.

PvP runs alongside the co-op. You can hit other players to steal their coins, and unlocking the PvP upgrade turns on friendly fire, which means everyone can attack everyone from then on. The dynamic of a run changes completely once that is on.

Before you start

Character customization lets you build a catgirl, a wannabe samurai, an annoyed hooligan, or whatever you feel like, so expect a colorful cast of odd-looking players in the lobby. The game supports online co-op and online PvP, so your group plays together over the internet. Expect a mix of platforming, boss fighting, and player-versus-player brawling in the same session rather than separate modes. Coins matter for both group progress and personal cosmetics, so decide as a group how much of the run you are spending on shared upgrades before the boss shows up.
