Build a model train layout in VR

Locomancer is a toy box style model train simulator for touch enabled SteamVR headsets. You put together layouts of varying complexity piece by piece, tree by tree, using straight track, curved track, inclined track, loop de loops and more. The track selection covers steam and diesel locomotives plus a variety of rail cars, including a fully functional cannon car. Scenery pieces let you add detail to the layout, and custom scenery support means models made by you or the community can be brought in for further customization. Since it is virtual reality, you are free to build things that would not be physically possible on a real table.

Ride and operate your trains

Once a layout is finished, you can run the trains in two ways. You can operate them remotely with a replica DC control panel, or you can climb into the cab of any available locomotive and drive it with physical levers, knobs and dials. Crashes are part of the fun, since trains burst into flames when they hit something. The game also includes twenty-six minutes of big band jazz by Nathan Boler to play in the background.
