How a round works

Everyone in the group gets a secret keyword, except for one player: the Liar. The regular players take turns describing the keyword in their own words, trying to be helpful without handing it over. The Liar has to listen to those descriptions, work out what the keyword is, and then talk like they already knew it. The whole round runs on what people say, so the dialogue is the game. Every line you give away can tip your hand, and every line you hold back can make you look suspicious.

Playing together

Liar Game is built for groups going at each other over voice or text, with Online PvP as the way to meet up. The regular players share a goal: describe the keyword well enough that the group stays on track while keeping the Liar in the dark. The Liar's goal is the opposite: blend in, sound like one of the crowd, and survive the suspicion. It plays out as a turn-based exchange, so there is time between statements to read people, weigh what was said, and decide who you trust. Deduction and persuasion carry the round more than any quick reflex.

Before you start

Expect a dark, cartoon-styled setting with a crime theme and heavy reliance on dialogue and text. The tone is tense and psychological rather than action-driven, so the fun comes from catching inconsistencies and selling your own story. Be ready to talk, type, and argue your case. If you are the Liar, the pressure is to stay convincing without overplaying it; if you are a regular player, the pressure is to describe the keyword without spelling it out. Either way, someone in the group is working against you from the first word.
