What the game is
LEGO® STAR WARS™: The Force Awakens is a third-person action adventure that follows the events of the film, told in the series' signature humorous style. You take control of characters from the movie such as Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, Han Solo, Chewbacca, C-3PO, BB-8, Kylo Ren, General Hux, and Captain Phasma. Alongside the main story, the game includes brand new story content set between Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
Playing together
The game supports local co-op, so a friend can drop in on the same screen and work through the campaign together. Steam also lists Remote Play Together, which lets someone join your session over the internet as if they were sitting next to you. Between the two options, your group can split up on one couch or bring in a friend who is not in the same room.
Mechanics to know before starting
Two systems shape how levels play out. The Multi-Builds system lets you pick between several building options to move forward, so the same pile of bricks can turn into different tools depending on your choice. Blaster Battles are a new addition to the series: instead of trading shots in the open, you use the surrounding environment to push back the First Order. Expect a mix of platforming, light puzzle solving, and combat as you move through each chapter.
