Emmet's Unlikely Mission
The LEGO® Movie - Videogame follows Emmet as he joins an unlikely group of resistance fighters on a quest to stop Lord Business' evil plans. Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously unprepared for the job, which sets the tone for the whole adventure. It is a third-person action game built around platforming, building and exploration, with a comedy streak running through it. The cast is huge: over 90 playable characters, including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Green Ninja, Gandalf, Shakespeare and Cleopatra. Each one brings something different to the table, so swapping characters is a big part of the fun.
Playing Together
The game supports co-op, so a group can work through the story side by side. Split Screen and Local Co-Op are listed, which means people on the same machine can jump in together. Remote Play Together is also available, letting others join over the internet as if they were sitting on the same couch. The open world and sandbox elements give the group room to explore and build between missions, and the RPG and action tags point to character progression and combat along the way.
Before You Start
Expect a mix of platforming challenges, building sections and combat encounters spread across a third-person view. The tone is family friendly and funny, with a soundtrack that leans into the comedy. Controller support is listed, so a pad is a solid option for this kind of game.
