What the game is
LEGO® MARVEL's Avengers is a third-person action adventure built around the characters and storylines from the films, plus more from the wider MARVEL world. You take control of powerful Super Heroes and move through levels that mix fighting, puzzle solving and open areas to explore. The tone stays light and comedic, with the slapstick humor that LEGO games are known for sitting alongside the bigger action beats. Expect plenty of smashing objects for studs, unlocking new characters as you go, and using each hero's abilities to get past obstacles that a single character type can't handle.
Playing together
The game supports local co-op and online co-op, so your group can jump in together. In local play, the split screen setup lets two people share the same screen while tackling a level side by side. Online play extends that to friends who aren't in the same room. There's also Remote Play Together on Steam, which lets one person own the game and stream a session to friends who join in remotely. Whichever way you connect, the core loop is the same: one player might handle a strength-based task while another uses a ranged or tech ability, and the level only opens up when everyone contributes.
Before you start
Bring a controller if you have one; the game is tagged for controller support and it suits the third-person movement better than a keyboard. The difficulty stays casual and family friendly, so there's no pressure to be good at it right away — dying just drops you back a moment later. Levels reward replaying once you've unlocked more characters, since earlier areas often hide things behind abilities you didn't have the first time through. If your group wants a relaxed session with room to mess around and laugh, this fits that better than a tense competitive game.
