What KUNKUN Defender 2 is

KUNKUN Defender 2 mixes a third-person shooter with tower defense. You hold a position in virus-infected zones and fight off waves of zombies until you've survived enough rounds, at which point Lao Da's helicopter arrives to extract you. The loop is simple: defend, survive, escape. Between fights you can upgrade your stats through off-battle enhancements, so a rough round still leaves you stronger for the next attempt. The tone leans into memes and comedy alongside the horror setting, so expect a game that doesn't take itself too seriously even when the zombies show up.

Playing it with friends

The game supports both single-player and co-op multiplayer for up to 4 players. In a group, you pick from four distinct classes, each one playing differently, which lets a squad split roles across the defense instead of everyone doing the same job. With five maps to work through, there's room to rotate locations across a session rather than grinding one spot. Co-op is online, so your group can team up without being in the same room.

Weapons and combat

Combat is built around the tower defense setup, but you're shooting directly as a third-person character rather than only placing defenses. The arsenal includes explosive weapons such as rocket launchers and the Gatling gun, which changes how you handle dense zombie waves compared to standard firearms. Class choice matters here too, since the four classes pair differently with the heavier weapons.

Before you start

Plan for a full run: you're holding out for a set number of rounds before extraction, so sessions have a clear beginning and end rather than an open-ended format. Spend your off-battle enhancements between attempts to smooth out the difficulty curve. If you're playing solo, you cover everything yourself; with a full group of four, coordinate class picks so the squad covers the defense properly.
