Defend M. Ark from the alien hordes

Kritter: Defend Together is a top-down shooter where your job is to protect M. Ark, a spaceship, against waves of hostile enemies that crash onto it at regular intervals. Between these waves, you explore the surroundings to gather resources, find power-ups, and collect building materials. The Manual advises crafting ramparts, turrets, and traps to survive, and staying alert for random events during exploration, such as arena fights, bases containing upgrade chests, and patrols offering gold and resources. You encounter these events across 3 different procedurally generated levels. Since enemies arrive on a schedule, you have to anticipate them and make it back to M. Ark in time.

Play solo or with up to 4 players

You can play alone or with up to 4 players in online co-op. Each player picks one of 4 classes: the Defender is a melee specialist who is more robust, the Engineer uses a flamethrower and a turret for area damage, the Tracker handles long-range explosives and precision shots, and the Ninja is faster than his peers, dashing through enemies and throwing kunais. Together you explore, gather resources, and build defenses like walls, traps, and turrets. The better your defense, the higher your rank and the better your rewards. After each successful wave, the group chooses between 3 rewards, such as more damage, repairing M. Ark, or a health potion.

Death carries over, and so do Soul Crystals

Dying is part of the deal, but everything you have gained carries over to your next run. When M. Ark falls, it triggers a temporal rewind and all run-based upgrades disappear, with one exception: Soul Crystals. You spend those on permanent upgrades like a radar, a merchant, or a second wall row, and each run improves your talent tree. You also unlock items for more synergies and combos. Once you beat normal mode, a hardcore mode unlocks, along with an endless mode with a leaderboard for the highest wave and a speedrun mode for the fastest time.
